How HRD Corp's Claims Work

A plain-language summary for prospective bookers — see hrdcorp.gov.my and supportcentre.hrdcorp.gov.my for the definitive rules that apply to your organisation.

HRD Corp (the Human Resource Development Corporation of Malaysia) lets levy-registered employers claim back eligible training costs from the levy they already pay. Our Strategy Led AI programmes are structured as HRD Corp claimable Public Focus Area AI courses.

Two claim paths run in parallel, and it's worth understanding both because they work differently:

  1. The Course Fee — what your organisation pays WooWoo World directly, capped by HRD Corp per participant per day.
  2. Trainee Travel & Logistics — what your organisation separately claims for your own staff's meals, transport and hotel, based on how far they travel to our venue.
Path 1

The Course Fee — what we charge, and its cap

HRD Corp caps how much of a training fee it will treat as claimable, per participant, per day. Anything we charge above that daily cap simply isn't claimable — your organisation would pay the excess without a grant offset. All WooWoo World pricing is set to stay comfortably within these caps.

HRD Corp limits public-course billing to 9 participants maximum per individual company for claim purposes. Multiple different companies can each send their own 9. If your organisation sends more than 9 delegates to one cohort, the first 9 are claimable and any beyond that are payable in full, without a claim, unless a separate in-house arrangement is agreed.
Path 2

Trainee Travel & Logistics — what your organisation claims separately

Distinct from the course fee, your organisation can separately claim your own staff's meal, transport and accommodation costs, based on how far they're travelling to reach our Kuala Lumpur / Bukit Kiara venues.

The Inter-District Rule

If you book us at a premium venue in Bukit Kiara or central KL, staff whose own office is already within the Klang Valley (under 100km away) can't claim the outstation RM500/day rate — they'd claim the RM250/day local allowance instead, or itemise specific receipts.

The "Either/Or" Clause

HRD Corp allows a claim for either the flat daily trainee allowance or an itemised meal allowance on the same training day, not both — this prevents double-dipping on food costs.

These are the employer's own logistics claims, submitted separately from the course fee invoice. Actual claimable amounts still depend on your organisation's HRD Corp levy balance and claim category at the time of claim.

The general process

  1. Your organisation books seats on a WooWoo World Strategy Led AI programme.
  2. We provide the documentation your HR/training team needs to support a claim (invoice, programme outline, attendance confirmation).
  3. Your organisation submits the claim to HRD Corp through their e-TRiS system, within HRD Corp's stipulated claim window.
  4. HRD Corp assesses the claim against your levy balance and the applicable caps, and reimburses your organisation directly.

Where to go for definitive answers

Eligibility, exact reimbursement amounts, and claim deadlines depend on your organisation's specific circumstances. Your HR or training department, or HRD Corp directly, are the authoritative sources — we can only speak to how our programmes are structured to support a claim.
